Wu (Hao) Tai Chi, recognized as one of the five major styles in China, is a blend of martial arts and health practices, developed during the Qing Dynasty by Mr. Wu Yu-Xiang. Influenced by his scholarly background and studies in Confucianism, Taoism, and Sun Tze's Art of War.
Wu Yu-Xiang integrated teachings from Chen Qing-Ping and Wang Zhong-Yue, forming the unique Wu (Hao) style. This style is characterized by simple yet profound and practical techniques, strict posture requirements, and a focus on controlling Qi (vital energy) with the mind. Its complete system includes various routines, weapons training, and classical Tai Chi theories.
Wu (Hao) Tai Chi's development owes much to the scholarly approach of its founders, who were selective in accepting students. Key figures in its propagation include Mr. Hao Wei-Zheng, who popularized the system, and his student Mr. Li Shen-Duan, who taught many in the Xintai area.
Today, Wu (Hao) Tai Chi is practiced worldwide, thanks to efforts by teachers like Mr. Jimmy Wong. Wong, a Grandmaster, has played a significant role in spreading Wu (Hao) Tai Chi globally, establishing the World Wu (Hao) Taijiquan Federation and offering online learning opportunities. This style, known for its purity and adherence to classical theory, continues to thrive both in China and internationally.
Qi Gong, a practice with a history of over 4,000 years, is a form of energy work that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intention. It involves working with different types of energy including Celestial, Terrestrial, Nutritive, and Defensive, among others.
Qi Gong is divided into two categories: 'Hard' for martial arts development and 'Soft' for therapeutic and longevity purposes. The practice enhances physical fitness, martial arts skills, health, and can even develop extraordinary abilities. Qi Gong is not just physical exercise; it also includes mental and emotional development, emphasizing a holistic approach to well-being.
Qi Gong practice involves a series of movements and breathing techniques that focus on cultivating and balancing Qi, the life energy within the body.
A typical session includes gentle exercises that stretch and strengthen the body, enhance blood circulation, and promote relaxation. The practice also incorporates meditative elements, encouraging mindfulness and a deep connection with one's internal energy.
Our Meditation and Breathing program is designed to nurture mental clarity and physical relaxation.
Through guided meditation sessions, participants learn to focus their minds, reduce stress, and achieve a state of peaceful awareness. Our breathing techniques, drawn from ancient practices, help regulate the body's energy flow, enhance lung capacity, and improve overall health.
This holistic approach promotes a harmonious balance between body and mind, leading to a sense of inner peace and well-being. Join us to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and rejuvenation.
Our Gentle Stretching program is crafted to enhance flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and promote relaxation.
This series of carefully selected exercises targets different muscle groups, gently stretching and strengthening them. Suitable for all fitness levels, these stretching routines not only improve physical flexibility but also aid in stress reduction and mental relaxation. Most important, all happens without any pain.
Emphasizing slow, controlled movements, this program is perfect for unwinding and rejuvenating your body and mind. Join us for a session where gentle stretches lead to profound relaxation and improved overall well-being.
